23 th April gift from NTM to children.

Because of the 23 th April week, Nicosia Turkish Municipality presented painting books as gift to the students OF some Kindergarten Schools, preschool education centers of Nicosia and childrens of SOS. The Mayor Bulutoğluları, the Deputy Mayor Celal Cin and the Municipal Council Member Fatma Sabri attended the delivery of painting books which is generated in the schools in a region of Nicosia. The painting books are enjoyed by children and juniors thanked the NTM for the gifts.

Bulutoğluları: “As in the modern countries, education should be part of the Municipalities”

NTM’s Mayor, Cemal Bulutoğluları, stated that 23 April is the feast of the children and as the Municipality they want to give a little present to the children. Bulutoğluları said, they thought of giving coloring book as a present for the children, suitable for their age, and they liked their presents, Bulutoğluları said he is very happy to see the children’s face smiling.

Bulutoğluları stated that the business of governing is not just sweeping or cleaning the roads and they are working on every field of governing and within the framework of modern governing they are trying to contribute to education and he added that in modern countries, education is part of the Municipalities. 

Bulutoğluları stated that they are aiming to bring this modern system of the world to our country and said that this book is an initial step for this aim. Also Bulutoğluları thanked the school headmasters for their supports.

Zorba: “The contribution of the Municipality to the education is very important for children”

The Headmaster of Hisarüstü Kindergarten and the Private Education Center, Mehmet Zorba thanked the municipality for their support to the education and stated that they wish to have these kind of supports not just on 23rd of April, but throughout the year. Zorba said that “The painting books that the Municipality gave to the children as a gift appreciated both school administration and children greatly. We wish to have these kinds of aids throughout the education period. The contribution of the Municipality is very important for us. I would like to thank the Mayor again on behalf of the children“.

Last night (03–05–10), the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM) Folk Music Chorus,

presented a wonderful folk music feast to folksong lovers. The concert which is called ‘ The Speech of the folk songs’ is realized in Near East University, grand library, Hall 4.  

The dances of The Research and Presentation Association of Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli Culture and The

 Folklore Group of North Cyprus Campus of METU colored the concert which was realized under the leading of Hasibe Osmanlılar.

At the concert, the chorus sang folksongs from T.R.N.C., Erzincan, Kırşehir, Yozgat, Urfa, Çanakkale, Ankara and Azerbaijan.  

In the concert that audiences had very enjoyable hours, citizens accompanied to the beautiful folksongs and had cheery moments. The Deputy Mayor of the NTM Celal Cin and some other Municipal Council Members attended the concert which has free entrance.   3 5
