Bulutoğluları: “The local governance has a big
role in the success of Antalya, which became a
global brand of tourism. We should benefit from
the international experiences of the Greater
Municipality of Antalya”.
The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality
(NTM), Cemal Bulutoğluları, received a committee
on Friday, 21st May. In the visit of the
committee, headed by Engin Murat Özdemir who is
in our country because of the Wheel Chair
Competition, the Mayor Bulutoğluları both gave
information about their works and projects and
also touched the subjects about the possible
cooperation between the two cities in the fields
of tourism and local governance.
The Mayor Bulutoğluları denoted that both the
government and the municipality should get
benefit from the international experiences of
Antalya which is the model city of Turkey in the
field of tourism and within this framework,
Bulutoğluları also stated that as the
municipality, they want to develop a cooperation
with the local government of Antalya which
became a global brand in tourism.
The Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Antalya
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Akaydın’s consultant Engin
Murat Özdemir, stated that they came to North
Cyprus for sports competition and wanted to
visit the Mayor of the Capital City Nicosia
Cemal Bulutoğluları. Özdemir thanked the Mayor
Bulutoğluları for accepting them.
Saying that the beautiful works in Nicosia are
ocular, Özdemir wished the continuity of these
services. Özdemir said that the investor and
sportsman identity of Bulutoğluları integrated
with his mayor identity excellently and Özdemir
wished success to him in the elections.
Highlighting that as a municipality, they should
benefit from the international experiences of
Antalya, which became a global brand of tourism,
the Mayor of NTM Cemal Bulutoğluları, informed
that they will make all kind of cooperation in
the new period with the Greater Municipality of
Antalya. Saying that the sister city issues
could be come up, Bulutoğluları added that they
will organize a joint conference which is called
“Tourism and Municipality”.
