Today (28-02-09), the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, attended the “Shopping Feast” at Arasta. At the organization that was realized in collaboration with the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Prime Ministry Monitoring and Coordination Center for the Walled City and The Chamber of the Turkish Cypriot Craftsmen and Artisans, the interest of the public to the Mayor Cemal Bulutoğluları was very intensive.
Besides Arasta, the Mayor Bulutoğluları also walked around the Municipal Market Place. He chatted with the craftsmen and ate cotton candy with children. Mayor Bulutoğluları stated that the major aim of the NTM is to make the citizens smile and added that “Everything is for our public. We will continue to work to do the best for our citizens.”

At the feast to which the citizens showed great interest, the orchestra of the NTM held a live performance and folkloric dance performances took place, as well as inflatable cartoon characters, a giant baloon man and a carousel. Within the framework of the feast, popcorn, cotton candy, traditional Turkish Delight lokma and many other surprises were prepared for the children and a picture exhibition was inaugurated at Büyük Han. The activity took place on Sunday too.
