The Nicosia Turkish Municipality, thinking of the citizens who have difficulty paying their debts because of the economic crisis, decided to cancel all the late fees applied to the debts from 31st December 2004 to 31st December 2010.

According to the decision taken by the Municipal Council that convened on 27th January, all late fees applied to Municipal debts will be canceled.

It was one of the subjects that Mayor Bulutoğluları insisted very much and wanted the difficulties of payments of the citizens to be cancelled. The decision of the Municipal Council about the subject will create an economic mobility.

The Mayor Bulutoğluları made a short explanation about the topic and stated that the Municipality provided such opportunity for the citizens to pay their bills more easily during this economic crisis. By this means the citizens will be able to pay their bills and the Municipality’s income will increase.

Bulutoğluları denoted that they provided this opportunity in former years and they saw positive reaction from the citizens, and he highlighted that the NTM always stands by the citizens.
