One of the associations which has an important place in cultural life of our country, FOLK-DER, visited the Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları, in order to thank to him for their contributions and to present their new CD “Cyprus Turkish Folkloric Music with its Notes and Melodies”.

   Making a speech at the visit, the Chairman of FOLK-DER, Erbil Akün, stated that their activities are not only folkloric dances but also that they organize traditional Cyprus pastries competition.

   Underlining that they published a book about their activities in English and in Turkish and that they implemented this within their constitiution, Akün said that they work in order to inoculate their own culture to about 250 children and adolescents.

  At the end of his speech, Akün talked about the NTM’s contributions to them and wished the Mayor Bulutoğluları’s contributions to be continued.
