The greenification works of  the Parks and Gardens Department of Nicosia Turkish Municipality  are continuing relentlessly. The Parks and Gardens Department of NTM organised the greening activity in the frame of  the Tree Plantation Festival. Planting of the young plants to the Dikmen Garbage Dump was realized  by the participation of the teachers and students of the Gelibolu Primary School on Friday, 25th  January.

In the activity that the Cemal Bulutoğluları attended as well, five hundred young plants were cropped in total. The young plants which were planted at the main entrance of Dikmen garbage dump are especially selected as growing early, miaform and various forest trees. Gelibolu Primary School and the officers of the Parks and Gardens Department of NTM cropped the young plants that NTM grows in Haspolat Nursey Garden itself.

The Mayor of NTM Cemal Bulutoğluları thanked the teachers and students of Gelibolu Primary School for attending the greening activity which was done in cooperation with NTM.

Bulutoğluları highlighted that we should all be sensitive to the environment and that this sensitiveness could be gained from childhood. Bulutoğluları, stated that these works will continue and that the same works will be made at all the areas in the boundaries of Nicosia. Bulutoğluları, also underlined that the Dikmen Garbage Dump will gain an appeareance of a forest, not a garbage.
