The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM) Cemal Bulutoğluları received the Ambassador of Italy Alfredo Bastianelli on 22nd of February, 2011.  During the meeting, they talked about the Cyprus issue and the projects of the Municipality.

Bastianelli stated that Nicosia is a special city for them because of its position within the Venetian walls.  The Ambassador indicated the importance of the Venetian Walls in world heritage and said that he will implement a visit next week in order to see the condition of the walls.

Bastianelli, got detailed information from Bulutoglulari about the past and current projects of the NTM. He also added that he appreciates and follows closely the works of Bulutoglulari.

Cemal Bulutoglulari, the Mayor of the NTM, gave information about the plans and projects of the Municipality and mentioned that he is pleased to receive the Ambassador. Bulutoglulari denoted that Venetian Walls are one of the most  important historical heritages of Nicosia and expressed his appreciation for the demand of  Bastianelli to visit the Venetian Walls.
