The Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM) and the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep celebrated the Sister City Protocol at Nicosia Merit Hotel on 7th December 2009 with henna night. At the event, the dance group from Gaziantep had a dance show unique to Antep. Guests had a chance to taste baklava, very famous dessert of Gaziantep.

At the event, the Mayor of NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları, the Goveror of Gaziantep Süleyman Kamçı, the Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep Dr. Asım Güzelbey, Minister of Interior and Local Governmental Affairs İlkay Kamil, Minister of Finance Ersin Tatar, some Municipal Council Members of NTM, and guests from Gaziantep were present at the evening.
