The Nicosia Marathon, which has been organized for the first time in T.R.N.C., was realized yesterday (19.10.2008) with the cooperation of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality and Nicosia City Club. The public had a great participation in the organization, 522 officially registered racers took part in the marathon. The Mayor of Munich, Christian Ude, who came to our island as the official guest of the Municipality, inagurated the Marathon. The donation collected at the Marathon, has been offered to the Kemal Saraçoğlu Foundation For Children with Leukemia and Fight Against Cancer. At the Award Ceremony of the Marathon, many politicians including Cemal Bulutoğluları, the Mayor of NTM, presented the prizes to the successful racers.
