Nicosia Turkish Municipality is continuing to realize permanent investments.

The Göçmenköy  Children’s Playground, which is rearranged by NTM, has been inaugurated today (Monday, 20th October) at 17:30pm. The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Bulutoğluları, the Mayor of the Munich Municipality, Christian Ude and the Chairman of the Democrat Party, Serdar Denktaş inaugurated the park.

Bulutoğluları: “We are one by one realizing the investments which have not been made for years’’

In his speech, Bulutoğluları reminded that one and a half years ago, he promissed the residents of Göçmenköy to rearrange this park. He expressed his appreciation for being able to inaugurate the park with its new, modern face.

Saying that they were aiming to sustain the Göçmenköy Sport Club while organising the park,  Bulutoğluları said that they organisied the park as a restaurant, wedding hall, sport area, sitting area and children’s playground.

Bulutoğluları emhasized that they gave priority to Göçmenköy in terms of municipal works, because for long years there haven’t been any investments there. He also added that they supplied most of  the deficiencies of Göçmenköy, and that they would build a new children’s playground in 2010 after the completion of  all arrangments.

Connoting that his investments for Nicosia will continue in spite of all obstacles, Bulutoğluları, highlighted that all those investments were made from municipal resources. Blaming the government for impeding  and preventing the actions of the municipalities, Bulutoğluları expressed his  wish that this park will be beneficial for the public despite  all these negativities.

The chairman of DP, Serdar Denktaş, stated that changing the Göçmenköy Park, which has been in need of help for years into a beautiful structure shows the value given to the people.Denktaş indicated that Göçmenköy Sports Club should pay much attention to this field and suggested to employ a Sports Teacher who is able to use the sporting equipments in the park and who can instruct people while using them. Thanking the NTM for  keeping its promises “despite all obstacles and lovelessness, Serdar Denktaş wished all best for Göçmenköy people.

Ude: “This park is a symbol of the importance given to the people”

Pointing that the park is designed for both children and the citizens of Nicosia, the Mayor of Munich, Christian Ude indicated that this shows the importance given to the citizens. Ude stated that the citizens can spend time together with their children as well as doing sports and sitting in the park.
