The citizens will be able to pay easily their property taxes and water bills 24 hours at paypoint machines without waiting in queues with the new contract signed by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM) and Paypoint Company.

 

Bulutoğluları: “We broke new ground in modern local governance by the latest technology Paypoint”

The Mayor of NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları stated that the contract will help the citizens to pay their bills more easily and the municipal income will be collected faster and regularly. 

Bulutoğluları highlighted that paypoint machines are the extension of the modern local governance within the framework of e-governance and the citizens will be able to pay with their credit cards or cash. Bulutoğluları denoted that the citizens will be able to pay any kinds of bills in addition to the municipal bills. This system is being implemented in Europe and around the world and Bulutoğluları stated that he is very happy to be able to bring this system to Nicosia.

 

Bulutoğluları added that the citizens can reach the paypoint machines in 25 different points of  Nicosia in the upcoming days besides the Nicosia Turkish Municipality Town Hall.

 

Erarslan: Paypoint paying system is the essential of the e- governance

The company manager of Paypoint, Gökhan Erarslan denoted that they have branches in Moldova, Azerbaijan and Ukraine and he also added that they have 20 points active in TRNC. He connoted that the citizens can make payment with paypoint system whenever they want from the payment machines as cash or with credit card. He also mentioned his happiness about introducing this means of modern local governance to Northern Cyprus .

 

Tekerek: The service of collection of revenues will be given 24/7 with paypoint.

The Coordinator of Paypoint Company, Başak Tekerek denoted that their aim is to give services 24/7 from Yeşilırmak to Karpaz in all points. He also added that the collection of revenues will be taken online in the following years.
