Cemal Bulutoğluları, the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, met with Antonio Jorge Jacob Carvalho the Ambassador of Portugal on 26th November, 2008.

The mayor Bulutoğluları received the Ambassador of Portugal Carvalho, in his office at 11:00 o’clock.

The Mayor Bulutoğluları gave information about the Cyprus problem and municipal works and projects to the Ambassador Carvalho.

The Mayor Bulutoğluları commented about the latest progress in the Cyprus problem to Carvalho, stating that T.R.N.C. is always optimistic and helpful towards the solution of the Cyprus Problem, but that the Cyprus Greek Government always prevents the solution.

Bulutoğluları also mentioned that, the NTM is a known institution in the world. The Ambassador of Portugal, Antonio Jorge Jacob Carvalho stated that it is the first time for him to visit the Nicosia Turkish Municipality and that he is glad to get together with the Mayor Bulutoğluları. The Ambassador Carvalho also added that he learned from the Mayor Bulutoğluları that the Nicosia Turkish Municipality and Nicosia Greek Municipality have good relations among themselves and that he appreciates this situation.
