The great project, that will ease the traffic and  that will provide facility about the entries and exits to the Capital city Nicosia, especially through the linkages which will be established on the main arteries, is moving towards the end. Related to the project, in addition to the continuing works in Bolu Street, asphalting works were also started. Within the framework of cooperative continuing works between the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation and the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, it is predicted to complete the road expansion works from south part to the Ecvet Yusuf Avenue, to make connection from the west part to the Haydar Aliyev Avenue and also in the east part, to transport the road up to the Prime Ministry. The Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Hasan Taçoy and the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları made investigations at Bolu Street which is the central point of the project.

Taçoy: “Our cooperation with the NTM will continue”

 The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Hasan Taçoy stated that besides the director firm of the road works, that is continuing in Bolu Street, the NTM is also working in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation and he thanked the Mayor Bulutoğluları. Taçoy emphasized that the NTM is making strenuous efforts in road works and stated that the roundabout that was built in the area will ease the traffic.  

Stating that the landscaping of the area was done by the best way, Taçoy connoted that the NTM completed all the infrastructure works of the area.

Indicating that the contractor firm works great, Taçoy stated that it is being planned to complete the road by the end of April.

Denoting that after completing this road they plan on a new road work, Taçoy said that it is aimed to connect Şht Ecvet Yusuf Road and Bolu Street junction to Bedreddin Demirel Road with this work.

Bulutoğluları: “After completion of the project, traffic will be eased”

In his statement, while checking out the works, the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, said that the Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Hasan Taçoy opened the tender for Atatürk Teachers Academy which will join the two arteries and will be connected to the Prime ministry, through Haydar Aliyev Road as soon as he started his duty.

Bulutoğluları stated that because of the problems experienced on the bridge in front of Devpa after the flood disaster, the NTM undertook the works on this side of the road.

Indicating that the traffic will be eased after the completion of the road, Bulutoğluları said that the destruction work of the houses on Ecvet Yusuf Road will be started as soon as possible.

Cemal Bulutoğluları emphasized that while the road construction works are continuing, infrastructure and sewage works are also completed instead of breaking the road in the future.

The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, stated that the entrance and exit arrangements will be made for the Youth Center Building which will be used as a roundabout in Kızılbaş. Bulutoğluları also thanked the Minister, Taçoy, who always cares Nicosia, and who is always in cooperation with them. After the observations on site, Taçoy and Bulutoğluları examined the consolidation works of the bridge which is near Dev-Pa and the Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları, , informed the Minister, Taçoy about their works.
