Connoting that if he had the chance, he  would distribute water not only to Boğaz or Hamitköy but also to all around the TRNC, the Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, stated that they are going to make equal water distribution to all districts within the bounds of possibilty.

Indicating that there is an exsistent water shortage in the country, the Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları connoted that in order to overcome this problem, it is necessary to develop compromise culture instead of having conflict.

Bulutoğluları who stated that the Mayor of Dikmen should avoid making statements that may create problems between the people of Hamitköy and Dikmen, empahised that  it is more beneficial to try to establish dialogue instead of attacking the NTM.

We carried free water to Dikmen and Boğaz for months

Reminding that the NTM carried free water to Dikmen and Boğaz for months, Bulutoğluları, continued his speech as: “ The NTM carried free water to these districts, although  they are not within our boundaries. We did it because we do not discriminate among the people. We carry on supplying water by tanker to Hamitköy which is going to join the NTM in September. Remembering that Yüksel Çelebi had water problems last July, his attempts to create conflict between all government departments, municipalities and the public now is not going to be beneficial for anybody. Currently water shortage exists in the country and our policy is ‘everyone will take water’ instead of acting in a partisan spirit and thinking political as ‘this person will get the water and the other won’t.’ It is necessary to think big and act as it is in that kind of important cases.’’

Bulutoğluları called Dikmen Public not to be worried.

Calling to the Dikmen public to be set at ease about water, Bulutoğluları identified that NTM will act in a fair way about the water and will not victimize anyone. Giving advice to the Mayor of Dikmen, Bulutoğluları connoted that it will not bring a solution to organize meetings without inviting the NTM and then to attack them in a populist way.
