One of the most appreciated plays ‘Birthday Party’ by the  Nicosia Municipal Theatre will be staged for the last time within the season 2008-2009, on  Friday April 3rd and Saturday April 4th.

Harold Pinter’s famous black comedy which makes people think about the realities of the world and our country has gained full marks with its successfull performers from the audience.  The play tells the story of Stenley who ran away from the outside world and sheltered in a sea side pension. The play is opening with view from an absurd world of the individual who struggles for existence in the cruel world  handling issues of confidence and identity. Black comedy’s humor and its confusing side is getting together with the audience.

The Birthday Party is written by  the Nobel Prize winning British writer Harold Pinter. Osman Ateş, Özgür Oktay, Hatice Tezcan, Erol Refikoğlu, Osman Alkaş and Barış Refikoğlu are the performers of the play and Özlem Yetkili did the design and the decorations of the stage.

This remarkable play by the Nicosia Municipal Theatre will be staged for the last time within the season on Friday April 3rd and  Saturday April 4th at 20:30. The  play will be staged in the following season by the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. During weekdays within working hours and on the show nights after 18:00 tickets can be provided from the Nicosia Municipal Theatre’s box office.
