Before the World Triathlon Championship that will be implemented in October, the triathlon team who is in Cyprus for camp work visited the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM), Cemal Bulutoğluları.

Bulutoğluları: “It is an important interference for the presentation of our country”

The Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları made a speech and stated that he is happy to see the German triathlon team, who has important successes worldwide, in our country and connoted that activities like this are important for the presentation of the TRNC. Reminding that they have good relations within the framework of local governance of a city with Germany, Bulutoğluları thanked the Bicycle Federation of the TRNC, Triathlon Federation of the TRNC and Roots Holidays LTD who provided the German triathlon team to come to our country. Bulutoğluları added that the NTM’s contributions to the Bicycle and Triathlon Federations of the TRNC will continue.

Çıraklı: “We thank Mr. Bulutoğluları for his contributions”

 The Chairman of the Bicycle Federation of the TRNC, Bülent Çıraklı, made a speech and stated that the German triathlon team will make camp and participate in races for 2 weeks.

Stating that the German team will attend the Triathlon race that will be realized on Sunday, 21st March and the road bicycle race that will be realized on Friday, 26th March, Çıraklı thanked the Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları for his contributions to sports community.

Hilberat: “We want to come to TRNC again”

Jurgen Hilberat, the head of German Triathlon Team and had ironman title for 12 times, stated that he is happy from being in North Cyprus and that they are glad from the interest shown to them here. Hilberat added that Cyprus is convenient for Triathlon races and that he wants to come to our country again. After speeches, the mayor of the NTM, Bulutoğluları, presented a table embroidered with silk cocoon special to Cyprus to Hilberat for their visit.
